With a title like “Toxic,” one would think Heather is taking aim at a no-good man. On the contrary, she actually points out some of her own toxic ways.

Victoria has persisted, offering her voice as needed to the label’s various releases and relationships while also releasing three projects of her own (Victoria’s Secret, Graffiti Diary, Hip Hop Soul Lives). Boutique Hotel is the culmination of Victoria hanging onto and living in her own career ambitions, arriving at a point where she feels comfortable vocalizing her own heartbreaks and joys.

After graduating high school in 2007, I got accepted into both North Carolina State University and North Carolina Central University. Initially, I chose N.C. State. During my sophomore year, however, I recognized that I wanted to transfer to an HBCU — NCCU in particular. I wanted to pursue music.
